More than a café

Founded in 2005 by Anne-Mette Stadsvold Henriksen and Jacob Mark Henriksen with the belief that traditional café food, professionalism in the kitchen and a good portion of coziness are the best combination for a good experience.

After 20 years in Aalborg Storcenter, we proudly take care of the center's guests who need a break from their shopping trip. With us, the food is always freshly prepared and the atmosphere is good. You will find something for every taste, whether it is morning, noon or evening. You can also enjoy our own coffee made by trained baristas.

A cafe with history

The café is decorated with rowing boats from 1944. The boats are called Kringeling and Skjold and have an interesting history. During World War II, they were hidden away for fear that Nazi saboteurs would blow up Aalborg Rowing Club, as several of the club's members were part of the resistance movement. Later, the boats have won several regattas and are now retired at Café Bord 1.

Current members of Aalborg Rowing Club have repeatedly urged us to call the café 'Café Kringeling'. However, we have chosen to decline and have instead added a smoothie called 'Kringeling' – in honor of the boat.
